Esther Marie Van Loo, 95, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on July 12, 2026. Born May 18, 1931, Esther lived a life marked by steadfast devotion, quiet bravery, and a kind-hearted spirit that drew others close and made them feel cared for.
A graduate of Saint Francis School of Nursing in Peoria Illinois, Esther embraced nursing not simply as a profession, but as a true calling. Through years of hard work and faithful service, she offered help with honesty, thoughtfulness, and a steady presence—qualities that shaped not only her work, but also the way she supported her family, church, and community.
Esther married Elmer Benson in 1953, and together they welcomed one daughter, Carol Anne. Elmer passed away in 2001. In time, Esther married Bill Van Loo, and their marriage was filled with happiness, fun, and a shared joy in celebrating life together until his passing. Throughout every season, Esther remained loyal to those she loved, deeply devoted, and beloved for the gentle strength she carried and the care she so freely gave.
A Funeral Service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, on July 20, 2026, at 10:00 am.
