

Evelyn and her husband Paul met in high school in Richland, Washington, and were married in 1947. They moved with their children Nick and Karen, to Scottsdale in 1959, from Seattle, Washington. Evelyn was a graduate of Kinman Business University, and attended The University of Tennessee and Arizona State University. She worked as a legal secretary and office manager in the law firm of her husband and his partners William H. Boettcher and Harry Schoolitz in Scottsdale for many years.
She was a long time member of Scottsdale Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder. She also was a member of Ruth Circle, The Red Hatters, Scottsdale ROAL(Army-Reserve Officers Association League), and the Family History Society of Arizona.
She is survived by her son Nicholas Crowder(Mercedes), her daughter Karen Crowder, her three grandsons Anthony (Phil), Brandon(Bri), & Paul Andrew. She also leaves behind a great grandson Brody Matthew Crowder and a great granddaughter Benson Lee Crowder, sister-in-law JoAnn Meyer as well as many nieces and nephews. Her many friends will miss her kind spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Crowder,Jr. in 2004, her parents, brother Brigadier General Richard L. Meyer, and her sister-in-law Barbara Crowder Hopkins.
A graveside service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road Scottsdale, Arizona at 2:00pm on October 30, 2023.
In Lieu of flowers, her family suggests honoring Evelyn by making donations to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimers Association, Mountain View Presbyterian Church of Scottsdale, or a charity of your choice.
