Everett Baker Lentz (Ev) was born to Edna and Karl Lentz on February 26, 1937, in Baker, Montana, at the Baker Hotel. He was the youngest of seven children, four brothers and two sisters. In High School, Ev was the Freshman class president, played basketball, was in the band, and liked to draw plans and designs for inventions, such as an electric car. Following High School, Ev attended Montana State College for a year, and then he joined the Army. He served most of his time in Yuma, Arizona and was the lifeguard for the base swimming pool. He returned to Montana for a short time after his discharge but decided it was too cold and returned to Arizona to attend Arizona State College and begin his career in 1961 with Western Airlines, which later merged with Delta Airlines, and retired after 39 years as a Customer Service Agent. Ev survived two bouts of cancer and Covid. Ev met his wife, Bev, while she was dating one of his roommates. They soon fell in love and married a year later. Ev is survived by his wife, Bev, of 58 years, four children- a daughter, Shawn (Scott), and three sons, Scott, Shelby (Julie), Stefan, six grandchildren, Kelsey, Colby, Hunter, Peyton, Kaden and Bowen, and one great granddaughter, Aydin. His only surviving brother, Karl, and numerous nieces and nephews, two brother-in-laws, Stan and Gerry, and two sister-in-laws, Sally and Sue. Ev loved God, his family, and life itself. He and Bev never missed any of their children or grandchildren's activities and he was loved by all their friends too. Ev, or Grampy, as his grandchildren called him, was famous for his chocolate milkshakes and homemade ice cream. He loved airplanes and flying and taking care of our yard. He was a private person but had a heart of gold and would do anything for any of his family and their friends. Ev and Bev shared a love not known by many and God gave him his last days on earth with his wife, commemorating their 58th Wedding Anniversary.
