Francine Ruth Ishmael

Francine Ruth Ishmael of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at age 76 on 02/15/2022. She was born on 12/21/1945 to mother Corinne Emily Gabriel and father Hervey William Gabriel Jr. at Randolph Air Force Base in Bexar County, Texas. Francine graduated from Cypress-Fairbanks High School in 1964. She studied Nuclear Medicine, helping children going through cancer treatments, but later left the field to focus on her family. Francine also worked for the Arizona Republic for about 25 years and then shifted her career to the hospitality industry, working as a Front Desk Manager at the DoubleTree Suites for over 20 years.

Francine had an adventurous spirit and loved camping, water skiing, swimming, and traveling, especially to warm places like the beaches of Hawaii, Mexico, and California. Francine always marched to the beat of her own drum, and never did anything she didn't want to do.

Francine was survived by her children, Jacqueline (Steve) Kothe and Shawn Ishmael; Grandchildren Emily Valdespino, Zachyriah Ishmael, Dakota McCain, Bayleigh Ishmael, and Christian Ishmael; and Siblings Lloyd Gabriel and Michael Gabriel.
