He was born in San Diego, California on July 6, 1945.
After graduating from Mt. Miguel High School in San Diego, Gary went on a trip around the world with the University of the Seven Seas where he was able to visit some amazing places with lifelong friends, all while still pursuing his college degree.
He received his BS in Geology and was working towards his MS in Geological Engineering at the University of Arizona while on a grant from the U.S. Bureau of Mines.
Gary belonged to the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, & Petroleum Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Theta Tau.
Later in life, Gary pursued his entrepreneur side and had several successful businesses in the construction industry.
As fate would have it, he finished his life out at 78 years young back in the soils lab at a wonderful company called Alpha Geotechnical and Materials in Tempe, AZ.
He had a passion for traveling and taking vacations, as well as his favorite pastime: golf.
Gary is survived by his children, Gary Beebe II and Kimberlee Sheridan; his sister, Donalda Shepardson; as well has his nieces and nephews, Marc and Brad Bailey and Deryn Nicastro.
A celebration of life will be held at Palo Verde Ranch Lake in Alpine, CA on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am. Lunch will be served.
