He is survived by his two children, Kimberly Teague, and Henry Leon Stephens, Jr.; his sister, Lenora Hunt; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Above all else, he was proud of his children and considered them his greatest blessing and accomplishment.
Those who knew him will remember him as a good man with an upbeat spirit, a quick wit, and a gift for making people laugh. He had a way of making everyone feel comfortable, whether they had known him for years or had just met him. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A hardworking and dedicated truck driver, he always went the extra mile, sometimes quite literally. He approached both his work and his life with determination, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. He made sure his family had what they needed and was a steady source of strength and support throughout their lives.
To his children, he was more than a father. He was their rock. He was consistently present, dependable, and loving. Through every season of life, he showed up, offered guidance, and demonstrated what it meant to care deeply for others.
His faith was the foundation of his life. He loved Jesus, read his Bible every day, and faithfully prayed before every meal. His trust in God guided his actions and shaped the way he treated those around him, with kindness, generosity, and compassion.
He was also an avid sports fan and a devoted supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals. Cheering on the Cardinals became one of the many simple joys that brought him happiness throughout the years.
Since his passing, countless messages have echoed the same sentiment: "He was a good man." Those words capture the essence of a life well lived. He loved deeply, gave generously, and brought laughter to those around him.
His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he touched, the faith he shared, and the countless lives he brightened with his kindness and humor. His children were blessed to call him Dad, and they will carry his love, example, and unwavering support with them always. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured by all who knew him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
