Born from humble beginnings in Philadelphia, Buzz lived much of his youth in the Downtown Jewish Orphans Home in South Philadelphia where he stayed out of trouble (mostly) by playing basketball for Big Brothers, PAL and Southern High School, where he competed on the All Public with Southern's Championship teams. While serving in the Army, he captained the Fort Devens team in Massachusetts.
Buzz received a full basketball scholarship Temple University in Philadelphia where he played for the Temple Owls while earning his degree in Education and ultimately a Masters of School Administration.
He served as a school principal and administrator in the Cherry Hill, New Jersey School District and after retiring, he continued teaching at both Community College of Philadelphia and Chestnut Hill College.
In 2011, he moved to the warmth of Arizona and enjoyed the weather, swimming outside and watching basketball and football games on TV at a reasonable time.
Buzz was a medical wonder with multiple joint replacements and heart apparatus and always maintained that he would keep going until they ran out of new parts for him.
There were no more parts available for Buzz, but his beautiful life will be forever cherished by his wife, Beverly, Son Benjamin, Daughter-in-Law, Ellen, Daughter, Hope, Grand-Daughters Haley and Shana, and all of people that Buzz met and touched.
