Sue graduated with honors from Poteau High School in 1947 and attended Oklahoma Baptist University for one year where she studied Piano and Organ before attending Oklahoma University.
Miss Davis graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1951 with a Bachelor of Music and in 1953 with a Masters of Music in Organ Performance where she studied the pipe organ under the world renowned Mildred Andrews.
During her schooling, she was named the Assistant Organ Instructor at the University of Oklahoma at Norman prior to her move from Oklahoma to Phoenix, Arizona in 1953 to accept the position of Choir Director at Phoenix Union High School.
Sue married Eugene Lombardi in 1955 and had two children, Robert and Genanne.
She was a church organist for over thirty years, finishing her career as the organist for First United Methodist Church of Tempe.
She was a member of the American Guild of Organists and served as the Phoenix Chapter Dean from 1966 to 1968.
Mrs. Lombardi served on several City planning and beautification projects for Tempe and on multiple curriculum committees for the Tempe Unified School District.
Sue is survived by her son Robert and sister Nancy Davis Lancaster.
Services will be held April 18, 2019, 2:00 p.m., in Skirm Auditorium at Friendship Village of Tempe.
