Having visited Jim a few dozen times over the last few years, I was impressed with his intelligence, interest in the world news, and readiness to share a story. He was a family man and loved to serve his wife and daughter I will miss discussions with Jim.

I have known Ann for almost 30 years, and met Jim on a number of holiday celebrations, and was always delighted with the stories he shared. Such an intelligent and kind soul, a blessing to those around him.

Jim was a pleasure to take care of. Always grateful and appreciative.We had long interesting conversations about our lives in different parts of the world.Though I did not know him for very long I felt I had known him for years

Robert and I were so sorry to hear of Jim's death. He was a wonderful companion and father and the world is poorer for the loss of this caring and life enhancing man. We are holding you all in the light.

I am very happy I got to know Jim. He was such a kind person. No matter how bad he felt he always had a smile on his face. He was a great example to me of how to except your situation with grace. He was grateful for every little thing a person did for him.

As a neighbor and friend, I enjoyed visiting Jim over the years in their home. His intelligence and knowledge as an editor made stimulating conversation. He was a keen observer of people and often walked the mall for exercise. We usually talked about matters of the spirit and he was perceptive to the spiritual side of man, not just the physical. Ann and Jim created a great marriage in which to raise a family with Joanne. I was enriched to count Jim as a friend.

Jim was a very sweet person and extremely caring when I was with him.  Taking care of him, the short time that I did, was very special.  We had such a sweet visit and time together.  He really left a wonderful impression with me.

Jim was a really sweet man who enjoyed life.  He was always so pleasant never complaining even in his last couple of months.  I had the opportunity to stay with him near the end and he kept apologizing for having to have me help him get up and down so much. He was always thinking of others.  Jim always made you feel so good.  I am glad for the opportunity that I had to know Jim.  I will miss his smiling face!

It was a pleasure for me to meet Jim and have a wonderful conversation that afternoon.  Thank you Ann for inviting me into your home for that visit.  And what a blessing it was to be able to get to Jim's bedside in time to anoint him and pray for him with you, Ann, as he left this world and entered the next life.  God bless you Ann for the love and care I saw you give to Jim.  May he rest in the  peace of Christ, and may the Lord console you and Joanne and the family as we wait in the hope of being reunited again.

Jim was such a kind, sweet man. We never saw him without a smile. It didn't  matter where he was, he had a smile for you. Jim always asked how you were and listened to what you had to say.  We told our kids when they were growing up to emulate the good qualities that they saw in their friends. Jim had many wonderful qualities we can emulate. But we are picking his smile!  When ever we think of Jim,  we see that beautiful, friendly smile.

I am very sad that I didn't have have more interaction with Jim. Sometimes we let the unimportant things interfere with taking the time to develop valuable relationships. I've visited with Jim, probably, 15 or 20 times. He was always a sweet, pleasant, man with a ready smile. I felt like the child in Jim was always just below the surface; a wonderful character trait. A man without guile.

Jim was a wonderful friend, husband, father, and grandfather, and all who knew him were enhanced by his life.  The first time I ever met Jim, he was wearing blue denim bib overalls, and I just LOVED that, as I grew up on a farm in Idaho, and my own dear Father and all the boys dressed that way! Meeting Jim took me right back to my "roots," and I thought of that every time I ever saw him after that.

He was a sweet, gentle man, and I feel fortunate to have known him and shared his good spirit. 

Our prayers go with Jim's family now, as they make this difficult adjustment with him having gone on ahead of them.

Jim has been a beloved friend for more than 40 years.  There's no replacing him.  He brought Ann and Joanne into our lives.  He was so proud of his grandchildren.  Family meant so much to him.  We loved talking with him--any time, any subject.  He loved learning new things, he loved sharing new things.  We never talked with him that we didn't learn something important.  He's been an incredible gift to family and friends alike.  We had a wonderful reunion just a few years ago.  We won't forget it!

Whenever I saw Jim, Ann would not be far behind.  No matter how Jim felt he always had a ready smile to share with those around him.  He bore affliction with dignity and despite limitations he was always there for his family and friends.  Jim will be remembered with the kindest thoughts, Ann.  And you will be remembered in kindest prayer to help see you through this most difficult time of separation from him.  May God comfort and console you, lift you up and bring you peace.

Taking care of Jim was a real pleasure because he was such a lovely gentleman. He was full of interesting stories of his life and the people that mattered most to him. Through it all shone the great love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by us all. Rest in Peace "Papa"

I loved to serve Jim as a financial planner.  But even more, I loved being his friend.  His quick wit and warm smile won me over a long time ago.  I too will miss the man and all he was.  To his family and extended family I say...lucky you...you were able to spend a lifetime with this wonderful man.

Jim was an amazing man. As the chiropractic assistant at the office he visited, I cherish every conversation and every hug we shared. I always learned something new from him and he never visited without leaving behind love, light, and warmth. He definitely was a gentleman! God bless his soul and his family.
