James Francis Wright Jr.

James Francis Wright Jr. 90 of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on March 17, 2022. He was born in Washington, PA on March 23, 1931, to James Sr and Anna “Mabel” Wright. He went to Trinity High School and joined the Army in 1952. He served in the Korean war with the Army 101st Airborne Division, as an MP for the Trieste Trust Troops. James was married to Jean Benedict on March 5, 1953 in Cumberland, Maryland. They lived several years in Washington, PA and eventually moved to Arizona in 1964. He worked as a printing supervisor for Motorola for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping and especially fishing. If he wasn’t working you could expect to see him plying the waters at Bartlett or Lake Pleasant with friends or family. James was survived by his children David (spouse Charlene) and Sharon “Sherry” Crouch (Pat), grandchildren Kirsten Kraemer (Greg), Kevin Crouch (Allyson) and Andrew Wright (Amber), great granddaughter Rylan Kraemer, with 2 more great grandchildren on the way, his sister Irma Gray (Bob), brother Bob (Carol), and many loved nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Lloyd “Cowboy”, and sisters Mabel Jane and Betty Jean.
