Jeanie, while I did not get an opportunity to meet you in person, I do know how remarkable you must have been because you raised a kind, caring and strong son. Gordon was such a blessing to you and he continues to be to all he encounters. Rest In Peace. ❤️

Jeanie was such a loving mother. She always welcomed all the friends of her son, Gordon. Offering big hugs and what ever food was on hand. I loved her accent with whatever words she spoke. As her and Gordon moved into their new home her face was full pride and happiness. I'm so thankful to have meet this awesome women.

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Dear Father God, Please bless the Stevenson family. Let them feel your presence and know you are real. Give them peace beyond all understanding as they morn the loss of this wonderful woman who you made in your image. May Gordon grow in the knowledge of you and feel your love as his mother loved him. Amen

I met Jean in 1998 at the Senior Center in Ahwatukee where she was the life of the group, especially the table she occupied with her friends when she was there. From the first moment I saw her, we became friends. Jean was smart, witty, vivacious and always had numerous stories to tell about her past and present. She had a wonderful Scottish sense of humor and became like a mother for me and my sis, Rekha who was introduced to her later.
Jean your scones and shortbread were the most amazing we ever tasted. She never let anyone feel alone and was always there to cheer someone feeling blue. In these past years we had gotten to know Jean well and although we could not spend too much time together in the last few years, I am grateful that in the past few months we got to spend some time together to laugh and remember all the old times.
Jean you had a good life and have a great legacy in Gordon who emulates everything a mother would have wanted in a son.
You were a wonderful, beautiful women with a great soul and will be missed very much by all of us.
May your soul rest in peace forever.

We, her Scottish family, were heartbroken to hear of Jean's death. I have known Jean for well over 60 years. She was actually my aunt, but was always Jean to me and then my husband and Aunt Jean to my two sons. At the moment I am smiling thinking of the many happy times we had with Jean both here in Scotland and while on holiday with her in America. She was kind, generous, funny and had a loving heart and our lives were enhanced by knowing her. She will be sadly missed by us all in Scotland. God Bless.

Fond memories of meeting Jean in Scotland .
At this time remember the Scots saying
" Ta'en Frae Us
Aye Wi' Us "
How proud she was of her family
Thinking of you

Gordon,
We know your heart is broken and with that we are hurting for you. Even though we never had the honor of meeting your Mom every time we talked about her it was easy to tell how special and wonderful she was. It was also clearly evident just how special she was to you and how much you adored and loved her. What a blessing to have had such a wonderful Mother and to enjoy a loving and caring relationship like you have is truly a gift from God. Angie and I have always treasured your Friendship and will be here for you as you continue your life's journey . Let the knowledge that so many care help comfort and guide you on this journey. Our prayers are with you Gordon and may God hold you in his arms as he lovingly holds your Mother.

Words cannot express the deep sadness I feel in my heart for Gordon and his extended family. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to know this remarkable woman.
