Joan Wellman

Joan Wellman, 71, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 28th of 2011. Joan Wellman was born the fifth child to Alton & Virginia Oliver on April 19th 1940 in Ashland, KY.

She was preceded in death: by her mother, Virginia Ison (Oliver, Hall, Rucker), father, Alton Oliver, sister, Roberta Toney, and her brother, Nicholas Oliver. She is survived by her six children: Rebecca Carrara, Kevin Tanner, Kenny Tanner, James Wellman, Tyge Wellman and Misty Wellman. Also, her 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters: Jean Archer, Katie Sansone; two brothers: Charles Oliver and Brooks Oliver. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, all whom she loved very dearly and to whom she was very close. Joan Wellman loved many and is loved by many. She will be greatly missed, always fondly remembered, and cherished in each of our memories, which we hold close and dear in all of our hearts.
