John Donald Farrington

John was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a committed family man, a dear friend and a dedicated servant in his church. In September of 2015, John retired from a 47-year career as an Allstate Insurance Agent. His personal hobbies revolved around the outdoors, where he spent a lifetime hunting and fishing - passions that he passed on to several of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ann, and his father, Chester Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Louise (Procter), six of their children: Timothy Christian (Linda R.), Daniel Dean (Linda D.), Ronald Scott (Mary), Tracy Gae (Tim), John Donald II, and Douglas Eugene (Missy), his mother, Rosemarie Farrington Douthitt, brother, James (Sharron) and his sister, Patricia Mitchell (Gary). John is also survived by their 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 10th at Highlands Church, 9050 E Pinnacle Peak Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85255.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John’s memory to White Mountain Bible Church, where he was an active participant up to the weeks before his passing.
