John Roger Hoefle passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the age of 91. John was born in Freeport, Illinois, on September 5, 1931. He met the love of his life, Ruth Rubey, in college and they married on January 25, 1952. They were married for 64 years before Ruth passed away in 2014. John was a pharmacist in both Illinois and Arizona.
John was a man who loved his family and friends deeply. He and Ruth nurtured a loving family with their five children – Janice, Susan, Karen, Wendy and John. He is survived by his five children, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is planned for January 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Wendy Dodt. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to Stephanie SAVES, a charity that was founded in honor of his late grandchild, Stephanie Dodt.
