

He is survived by his children Katie and Carrie, grandchild Alec, girlfriend Jan, nieces and nephews Vickie, Eddie, Jeff and Chris and by his brother-in-law Ed.
He will be laid to rest next to his parents Joseph A. Klod and Victoria (Filipiak) Klod.
Joe was born in Chicago, Ill, and graduated from Carl Schurz High School along with his wife Lonnie Novak.
He served in the Marine Corp from 1966 to 1968 repairing fighter jets at Cherry Point, NC.
After being discharged he began his career in construction, first in electrical engineering and later in construction project management.
He and the family moved to Arizona in 1984, where he rose to AVP at Western Savings and Loan, and after their dissolution he created his own construction consulting company, JPK Associates.
During his retirement, Joe enjoyed taking care of his little dog Max, spirited debates on economics, politics or events of the day, and sharing good meals with friends.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, followed by a graveside service.
