On Sunday May 28th, 2023 Kimberley Ann Ahmann passed away from esophageal cancer at the age of 55 in Scottsdale, Arizona. When she was first diagnosed in March 2020 the doctors gave her 6-12 months to live, however, she did what she always does; she did it her way and on her time! All throughout her countless appointments, treatments, procedures, and surgeries she stayed positive and busy. It was very rare to see her sitting down since she was always on to the next task.
Kim is now an angel joining her parents Philip & Judith Hall and sister Katt Hall. By now, we are sure she has reorganized heaven and provided them with love and several ideas to improve eternity. She is survived by her three children, Michael Portice, Kelsey Severin, Kaytlinn Ahmann, her two siblings Garrett Hall and Kori Maywalt. Kim is also survived by her soon to be granddaughter, whom we expect to arrive in December 2023 to parents Kelsey and Jonathan Severin.
Kim was the oldest of four children, born on September 23, 1967, to Philip & Judith Hall in Scottsdale, AZ. She was an incredible force of nature. If she wanted something, rest assured, she would find a way to make it happen. She graduated from Coronado High School in 1986 while also attending Cosmetology School. Her ambition and strong will quickly helped her co-own a beauty salon and shortly after start her very own business Salon Synergy which was located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Salon Synergy was kept open for 30 plus years, the last three while she battled cancer. She would often speak of how grateful she was to her clients, many of which have been her client for over 30 years. She grew friendships through her clientele and even after she retired in March 2023 many would send daily texts of support, encouragement, love, and beautiful song lyrics. She would share these messages to her family and expressed how much they meant to her.
She was a loyal friend and was always ready to provide support and advice; sometimes welcomed, sometimes not- but always given with love. During holidays and celebrations she would open her home to have huge family & friend events where everyone would come to laugh, eat and enjoy each others company. She would often have an emotional heartfelt speech ready to go at these and other similar family events.
She loved music. She loved to sing, dance, and attend live shows. If she liked a band, she would attend their shows as often as she could. You could always count on her being front and center dancing and singing along. She was her brother’s biggest fan and cheerleader in his pursuit of being a musician. One of the most memorable times recently was when she joined her brother in Rocky Point and sang and danced on stage with him for a couple shows with his band.
Most of all, she loved her kids. All three knew her determination, stubbornness, playfulness, and felt her unconditional love for them. Always wanting the best and for them to live out their lives to their full potential. As they have all moved on as adults to accomplish their own dreams and successes, she remained their biggest cheerleader.
To name just a few, Kim loved life, family, friends, purple, roses, music, dancing, singing, tattoos, beaches, motorcycles, gardening , cooking, baking, and dragonflies. If you see one flying near you that hangs out for a bit, that’s probably her saying hello.
Services will be held at St. Daniel's Catholic Church located at 1030 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale, AZ 85257 on June 23, 2023 at 10:00am and celebration of life at Los Olivos located at 7328 E. 2nd Street in Scottsdale, AZ 85251 on June 23, 2023 at 3:00pm.
