Leora Janet Gamble "Cookie" born June 14, 1921, in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Friday morning in her home at almost 91. She joins her husband, Melvin Gamble and only child, Nancy Spaulding. She was an accomplished Aunt, Cookie, Great Cookie and Great-Great Cookie. Survived by her son-in-law Phil Spaulding, grandchildren Jeff, Lee-Ann (Mark) and Laura (Mike), 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, niece, Pam DeWitt, nephews and Maddie her 4 legged companion for many years. She enjoyed her family, her ceramics, gardening and an occasional painting project. In 90 years her only known disappointment was the passing of her only daughter; she would have enjoyed many more shopping trips with her. Graveside Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Green Acres Cemetery, Garden of Memories, located at 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Thank you to the extended family in the neighborhood who were always there to help. Cookie and the family could never thank you all enough. In life she got it her way and was very happy.
