Lois Crosby passed away peacefully in her sleep on what would have been her and her late husband, Frank’s, 73rd wedding anniversary. Those who knew them well know that there was a party in heaven when Lois arrived.
Lois is survived by three of her six children: Kevin Crosby and his wife Renee, Brian Crosby and his wife Nancy, Sheila Crosby Peña and her partner Matt Powell. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Nathaniel Crosby and his wife Millie, Chris Crosby and his wife Evelyn, John Crosby and his wife Kristen, Monica Peña, Cynthia Peña, Sean Crosby, Brendan Crosby, Alana Crosby and Kailyn Crosby; her four great-grandchildren Ian Crosby, Molly Crosby, Aliana Crosby and Claire Crosby; and her brother Jon Jacobson and his wife Gisela.
Lois was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in West Seattle. She attended Seattle College until marrying Frank Crosby in 1944. Frank and Lois also lived in Juneau and Sitka, Alaska; the San Francisco Bay area; Farmington, Michigan, Granada Hills, California; Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and most recently, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Lois was a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved adventure and the great outdoors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, May 13th at 11:30am at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church at 10755 N. 124th St. Scottsdale, AZ. Her ashes will be placed next to her husband Frank later this year in Tumwater, WA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lois’ name to either Hospice of the Valley ( www.hov.org/donate) or the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
