She was a loving wife to Ret. Lt. Col. Adley H. Caldwell (1916-2007) and mother of Lolita, James, and Elizabeth Caldwell.
Born in Arkansas, Lola loved sports and participated on her high school basketball team.
Married at Fort Riley, Kansas as an officer's wife, she organized base activities to welcome new military families and care for their needs while their men served.
After WWII, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she supported her children's scout troops, school and sporting events, as well as parents organizations.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and remained so throughout her life.
She also participated in community activities such as garden clubs and charity organizations.
She was an active member of church throughout her life, and attended First Christian Church at the time of her passing.
Lola is survived by her two daughters, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Lola will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
