

Louie is survived by Corinne, his wife of nearly 65 year; his daughter, Ann; his son, William; and his grandson, Allen all of Scottsdale, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary; parents, Conrad and Anna Beisser; and two brothers, Carl and Thomas.
Louie was born July 7, 1924 in Fort Dodge, Iowa where he resided most of his life until retiring to Florida and then Arizona to be closer to family. He was a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School. After serving in WWII as a B-25 Mitchell Bomber Pilot, he and his new bride Corinne, moved to South Dakota were he graduated University of South Dakota Law School. Upon returning to Fort Dodge, he joined a local law firm. He was elected Justice of the Peace and later County Attorney. In 1972, he joined the McCarville, Bennett, Beisser, & Ferguson Law Firm. In 1981, the Governor of Iowa appointed Louie to the District Court Bench as a judge where he remained in service until retirement.
Louie taught Law Enforcement and Constitutional Law classes for 25 years at Iowa Central Community College night school and stayed in the Air Force Reserves as a Lt. Colonel until retiring. He belonged to the Webster County, Iowa State, and American Bar Associations as well as the American Judicature Society and many Trial Lawyers’ Associations. Louie was involved in many civic organizations from Sertoma, United Way, YMCA, to the Catholic Charities, and various local fundraisers.
He loved cheering for all the High School sports teams. He loved playing golf and watching baseball and football. When he did have spare time, Louie worked on home improvement projects. Louie and Corinne traveled to all 50 states, seeing the sights and enjoying the air bases that had a parked B-25 bomber present.
The one thing Louie liked best was to make other people’s day. He could be heard saying, “Top of the morning, good looking!” to every passerby.
