Margo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was the center of her life. She loved deeply and was a constant source of support, encouragement, and affection to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Margo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Roth, and her son, David Roth. She is survived by her three daughters, Leslie Roth, Tracey Wittenberg, and Sue (Steve) German; her seven cherished grandchildren, Annie German, Jamie German, Jonathan German, Rachel (Emmett) Sams, Jordan Freed, David Wittenberg, and Samantha Wittenberg; her great-granddaughter, Piper Sams; and the members of her extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Known for her kindness, caring, and selflessness, she made everyone she met feel welcome. She was quick to make friends wherever she went. She always lit up at any mention of Broadway shows, movies, or television. Of all the arts, dance was her true passion from the time she was a young girl. She studied tap dance and ballet for many years and was always the last to leave the dance floor at family parties and events. She never missed a performance at ASU Gammage, and on weekends she could be found at the latest movies. Most of all, she was happiest when she took her grandchildren along to plays, movies, and other performances.
Margo was equally passionate about her time with the Fiesta Bowl, where she worked for twelve years. She loved her work and the friends she made there. She was a fixture at the Fiesta Bowl, and the person college football programs would call when they needed a favor. Margo helped her children and their friends find employment at the Fiesta Bowl. For some, it became a lasting professional relationship with the organization.
Margo always approached life with energy, determination, and a sense of community and justice. She was easy to talk to when times were difficult. When others turned to her for help, her advice always came from a place of kindness, warmth, and compassion.
Margo will be remembered for her loving heart, positive attitude, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she enriched. She is already deeply missed and will be cherished forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Margo's honor be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona, or to a charity of your choice.
"A true gem whose light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her."
