Marian Viola Moore, 95, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020. Born to Emile and Lucile Entress in Neillsville, Wisconsin, she was the second of three siblings. Marian worked at Parker Pen for many years before meeting her future husband, William, on a blind date which was set up by close friends.
Marian loved to play bridge with friends and gin rummy with her husband. She also loved playing with the family dog Buffy. Marian was known for her flaming red hair and having martinis on Friday nights. As time passed martinis became chardonnay but only if there was ice on the side! She and William moved their young family to Scottsdale in 1972. Together they owned the Desert Dweller on Fifth Avenue, Scottsdale and built it into a successful business.
Marian is survived by William Robert, her beloved husband of 65 years; her daughter Karen Marie; her son Robert William, and her grandson Robert Calvin. A private funeral service will be held at Green Acres. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Faith Hospice in Phoenix.
