Marjorie Lott passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023, holding the hand of her grandson Larry Buchda. Born on November 24, 1924 to Ralph and Vera (Corbin) Wilson in Delaware Ohio, she was the sixth of eight well-loved children. Her childhood, amidst that of a larger family, during the great depression, was spent learning about and not always getting what you wanted but happy with what you did get, learning how to share and knowing that you were loved. After graduating from Willis High School at the age of 17, she used her business class knowledge to work at a job helping with the war effort. After marrying her husband, they both attended and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1949. In 1960, they moved with their four children to Mesa, Arizona. There, they built their home and had two more children. Marj worked for Mesa Public Schools as a Resource Teacher, retiring in 1994. After retiring, she met the love of her life, David Allore Sr. They travelled across the country in their motor home over the years but would always return to their home at the base of Superstition Mountains.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Richard Barnick, Jr., Son-in law, Robert Barnes and her Soul-mate, David Allore Sr.
Marj is survived by her sister Janet (Wilson) Jackson, Son, James Richard Lott Jr.(Karen), Daughter, Vicki S. Lott Pope(JAnn), Daughter, Teri L. Lott Barnick (Rick), Son, Steven J. Lott (Sheryl), Daughter, Beth A. Lott Barnes and Daughter, Laura L. Lott Cocke (BJ).
She has 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and tons of “dammit” children.
Marj’s children want to say a very special thank you to her grandchildren Larry and Janelle Buchda for opening their home to our mom in the final year of her life.
