Marlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life touched many. She will be remembered for her kindness, humor, strength, artistic talents, and love of her children and family. She was a strong vivacious woman with a strong sense of humor; she was a natural storyteller who could turn an ordinary story in a funny way that made everyone laugh; and she loved to dance. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with loved ones who passed before her, including her parents, Kate and Percy John.
Marlene is survived by her children, Elaine Nez, Shanna Feria, and Brian John; Son-n-law Wayne Feria and grandson Mason Feria; Daughter-n-law Courtney; Her siblings Yazzie Acothley, Mary Kay Little, Rose Celestine and Dorothy Begody; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Marlene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
A Graveside and Burial Service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257, on October 21, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A Chapel Service will take place at Papago Ward - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2056 N Extension Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85256, on October 21, 2026, at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The reception will be potluck, finger-food style. No Caffeine and no Dark Colored Drinks Please.
