Mary Poole passed on March 5, 2011 peacefully in her sleep. She was born on February 2, 1925 in Klenovec, Slovakia and came to Canada in 1930. She was a survivor of the Great Depression, and retired from Siemen’s in Scottsdale. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon of 62 years. She is also survived by her son James, daughter Bonnie Arlia (John “Bud”), and only grandchild, Adam. Her sister Mildred Erent (Martin) and brother William Darovny (Catherine) survive, and nephews, David, Robert, Gary, Mark and niece Lori and their family’s in Ontario, Canada. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice of the Valley. Service to be held on Friday March 11th at 2:30 PM, at Green Acres Mortuary 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, with reception following at Jim’s home. Arrangements under the direction of Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, Scottsdale, AZ.
