Michael Stephen Crum

Born on October 23, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, Michael moved to Arizona when he was only six months old and considered himself an Arizona native. He was a resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Mike was a very intelligent individual who earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a Master's degree in Accounting, both from Arizona State University. His career was marked by significant achievements as a product inventor and developer. Michael retired from Qwest after dedicating over 30 years to the industry and held two telephonic patents.

In his personal life, Mike was an avid golfer and a wine connoisseur. He could fix just about everything and was truly the Jack of all trades.

Michael is survived by his girlfriend, Donna Beson; his daughter, Jennifer Crum; his son, Matthew Lauerman (Denise); his grandsons, Matthew and Tyler; and his brother, Pat Crum. Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Crum.

He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his intelligence, creativity, and diverse interests.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00AM. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:30AM with a reception to follow at the same location.
