I first met Mike at one of Ducky Crandall's  mall coin shows in Glendale AZ back in about 1981. He became a mentor and gave valuable assistance for nearly forty years. Mike is a good man.

Mike was a very special friend to me. Always helping me out. I’ll always be thankful for his kindness and remember him fondly.

I first became friends with Mike in the late 1990’s as he was a frequent customer to a Stamp  & Coin  store located in Scottdale.   I have since moved to Tucson, but, we remained friends and I never forgot to call him on his  Birthday.  
Today, I called to wish Mike a Happy Birthday, but, discovered that he had passed.   Mike was such a nice man and I wish to send my condolences to his family at this time. 


Marlynn please call his buddy up here in Kennewick WA  Jimmy Cummins 509-783-1944......wished you or somebody would've told us too?    Condolences to you and your family, RIP to "Mikey"  he will never be forgotton, AMEN!

Mike was always so kind and thoughtful. I always knew him as Uncle Mike ❤️ Always sitting fireside with my dad (Don Barajas). He is dearly missed! 



Mikey raised me as his own and loved me unconditionally. I will forever be shaped by who he was and so grateful for all of the experiences in my childhood. You will always be my Daddy O.

He taught me to save my change and wash my ziplock bags. He taught me to always carry a $100 bill. He taught me to have a strong work ethic. He taught me to give to others when no one was looking. 

The last year our paths were so very far apart. Through death, he has taught me one of life’s greatest lessons… to be quick to forgive and even quicker to ask for forgiveness. 

See you on the other side, hope we don’t make you roll over in your grave too many times till then. I love you.

I met Mike in 1985 when I opened my coin shop in Cottonwood, Arizona and he has been my mentor ever since. He will be missed. 


One of the most kindest and generous person I’ve ever known. Mikey you will be missed. I’ll never forget when I couldn’t afford to do Christmas for my children (about 10 years ago) and you called me up and said come pick up a ham for the holidays and in the cooler you placed an envelope with $300 and wrote a little note saying “Go have Christmas with the kids”. You always would call me every week or two just to check on me and my children . You sometimes were just my set of ears just to listen. These are just a couple things you did for me. I could never thank you enough for all you did for me and my children. You will always be in my heart Mikey. I miss you and  I will never forget you . Love you always Mikey….. Anna

I'm going to miss our Sunday talks, our spring and fall baseball and all the wonderful time spent with you. I love you Mikey.
