Michael (Mike) Halley passed away peacefully at his home in Phoenix, Arizona on October 18th, 2025. Mike was born in 1952, to Vol and Betty Halley in Wray, Colorado. The Halley family moved to Nebraska, residing there for several years. In Mike's middle-school years, the Halley family moved to Cheyenne, WY where they made a permanent home. In 1970, he graduated from Cheyenne's East High School and attended the University of Wyoming. In 1972, he settled in Phoenix, Arizona where he eventually enjoyed a career as a commercial painter.
He will be remembered as a consummate golfer, a passionate card player and the master of any jigsaw puzzle offered to him. Mike also had a penchant for practical jokes and robust, enthusiastic conversation. Additionally, his family's cabin in Glendo, WY held a special place in his heart. It was there that the family gathered for celebrations and summer retreats. Mike, ever the competent fisherman, happily provided Walleye for numerous family meals.
