Michael Joseph O'Neill

A devoted patriot, family man, and beloved figure to all who knew him, Michael Joseph O'Neill passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2026, with his daughter, Carolyn O'Neill, by his side. He was 78 years old.

Born in Manhattan, New York City, on March 9th, 1948, Michael was one of eight children of the late Harold O'Neill and Annie Manning O'Neill. Michael carried a proud sense of his Irish-American heritage and a deep love of his country throughout his life.

In the late 1990s, Michael sought a new adventure and moved to Arizona with his beloved wife, Maria, where they fell in love with the landscape and he spent nearly 30 years of his life.

A defining characteristic of Michael was his unwavering commitment to service. He proudly served as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War and continued his dedication for 20 years in the Army Reserves. His quiet patriotism and love for the values of his nation were evident in everything he did.

More than anything, Michael loved his family. He has now been reunited in heaven with his beautiful wife, Maria, whom he loved more than words could ever describe. His presence brought joy to any gathering, and his legacy of love, humor, and patriotism will live on through his family and all who were lucky enough to call him a friend.
