

Born in Evansville, Indiana in 1927, and resided many years in Dayton, Ohio. Moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband John Houseman and their son, John Michael Houseman in 1973, ultimately ending up in Mesa, Arizona,
She was always thankful for her Christian heritage and the wonderful churches and congregations she was a part of; Walnut Street Baptist, Far Hills Baptist, North Phoenix Baptist and Broadway Christian Church.
Mickey retired after selling real estate for 37 years. She was very active in her churches and in her children's lives. She enjoyed spending years as a Cub Scout den mother, as a teacher in children's Sunday school and vacation bible schools, and she always enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Mickey and her beloved husband John enjoyed ballroom dancing together and brought home several trophies. Her favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know."
Preceding her in passing was her precious husband John.
Surviving are her daughter Micki Barker, and two sons Leonard Hayes and John Michael Houseman; five grandchildren: Pat Hayes, Holly Hayes-Gildea, Michael Houseman, Brandon Houseman and David Houseman; and five great-grandchildren: Gina, Odin, Eva, Jasper and Korbin.
