Nancee enjoyed a very successful and rewarding 40+ year career as a real estate professional serving both the Metropolitan Phoenix and Tucson areas. Perhaps one of her proudest accomplishments was working as a director for the Birth Right Organization in Tucson where she worked along side some of her life long friends helping young pregnant woman find alternatives to abortion. They would work tireless hours answering crisis phone lines (as well as walk in's) helping young woman receive free help for medical care, supplies, assistance, emotional support, housing and money so they could keep their babies. Working with the Catholic church, the De Concini Family, volunteer doctors and with public and private donations, they opened their doors to any pregnant woman that requested help. In addition they would help pay travel expenses for young pregnant runaways to return home or get the medical, shelter, educational and career help needed to get on their feet and keep their babies or help them place their babies with loving homes if they chose not to keep them. This was a non-profit ~ volunteer organization that can be credited with helping hundreds of babies safely make their debut into the world.
Nancee was also proud to be a member of the National Speakers Association and Toast Masters and she volunteered helping out our veterans working with the USO as well as volunteering as a team leader with 4-H. She had a passion for helping others and although she could be stubborn when she believed she was right, she was a woman of conviction that always stood up for what she believed in. She would walk the farmland in boots and jeans with her many Farmer clients and then put on her heels and walk into the board room and command the respect of everyone in the room. Although her career in real estate started in a male dominated era she was highly regarded as a professional by all that knew her and she always managed to carry an air of confidence no matter what the surroundings.
Nancee was married at an early age and was an Air Force wife married for 34 years. During the time the family was in the military they were stationed throughout the country as well as Okinawa, Japan and each of her 5 children were born in different states. Although the marriage ultimately ended in divorce they remained friends. Nancee is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Julia Voss; her brothers, Fred Woodcock, Walt Voss Jr., William Voss, and Daniel Voss and Ex-husband William R. Cousins Sr. She is survived by her sisters, Rose Wymore, Salle Lesmeister, Virginia Voss; her brothers, Robert Voss, Joseph Voss, and Donald Voss; her children, William R.
