I have fond memories of my Dad. I think about him every day. My new life will honor the man, the legend that is  Nate. Zei Gezund!

I miss Nate every day! He served the citizens of Mesa,Az. He was a Letter Carrier in Mesa for 26 years! Prior to that he worked in Morton Grove, Illinois. He was a hard working man. He took good care of the people on his route. He loved his children!

1977-78 our brand new home.  
Leaving Chicago and family to move to Mesa, AZ was a huge change for our little family.  We only had each other.  I miss those days and I'll miss my dad forever...it seems like yesterday when it was just the four of us as The Chiren Family.  Crazy how fast our lives have transformed.    
I love you Dad and I miss you each and every day.

I'm sorry I couldn't be with you at this difficult time. My years growing up with Uncle Nate were great. It was like having an older brother. Uncle Nate will be missed. You will always be in my thoughts and heart. If you need to talk I'm here for you anytime just call.

Nate has been my brother in law since I was 8 years old, he was my brother.  He was so special to all of us.  He was cranky and gruff at times, but always, always loving - that was first and foremost.  He liked to be loud and scary, but he was just a teddy bear in reality.  I thought my daughter would be terrified of him, but they bonded immediately and he stayed a part of our lives even living so far away from us.

I love him and will miss him more than I can express in words.  I always felt like he was there for me and I will miss that.

I first met Nate when Patti and I moved into Apache Wells in 2016. Nate and I would remanence about our old days back in Chicago and each had fond memories of our old days. I enjoyed the talks we had from time to time, he was a mans man. Nate was a great neighbor to know and will be missed.

Nathan Earl Chiren, known by all as, Nate the Mailman.  Nate was born April 9, 1947 and passed on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:30p, he had just celebrated his 74th birthday.  Nate will be survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith.  Nate and Judy were high school sweethearts that married the day after graduation from Tuley High School, 1965 in Chicago, IL.  
Nate will further be survived by his loving son, Paul (wife Ute) and his loving daughter, Heather; grandchildren Jennifer, Erick (wife Allison), Valerie and Jacob; great-grandchildren Josiah, Zoey and Asher; nieces, Nanette France and Beth Hobbs (husband Buck); nephews, Robert France (wife Carol) and Harry France.
Nate will join his beloved sister, Dorothy with husband Roy France and parents, James and Pauline Chiren as his body leaves this Earth.

I am so sorry I can’t be with the family. Nate has been my big brother since I was 4 years old. He played a major role in my young life.
