

Oscar, a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, lived a long and full life, marked by dedication to his family, deep compassion for others, and a steady, gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Oscar was the last of 7 children born to John and Etta Casdorph of Charleston, West Virginia and graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Morris Harvey College in 1964.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley Casdorph, two of his sons, Oscar “Butch” Casdorph and John Casdorph, as well as his grandson, Robert Casdorph and great-granddaughter, Tyler Davis. He is survived by his wife, Devona “Dee” Crawford Casdorph; his son, Charles Casdorph, and his daughters, Sally Kazilek and Teresa Fontana. Oscar is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and Dee’s family; 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, at 1100 N. Cooper Rd, Gilbert, AZ, 85233. The graveside dedication will follow immediately at Green Acres Cemetery, located at 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, Arizona.
Oscar will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, countless acts of service, his humility, and the deep love he held for his family and for his faith. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
