Patricia C Poglajen

She was born in Harrison, Arkansas on September 22, 1939. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School and received her bachelor’s degree in education from ASU.

She was married to Joe Poglajen, Jr on March 28, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Patricia worked as an Obituary Writer for the Phoenix Gazette in the mornings, attending ASU during the days then working nights at Motorola in Human Resources. After the birth of her children, she became a Substitute Teacher in the Isaac School district. She later became an employee at Associated Grocers in Human Resources and retired there.

Patricia enjoyed cooking for the masses at church and family events. She also enjoyed bingo and was always “blessed by God” as she would say.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joe Poglajen Jr. and her parents, Carl and Peble (Murphy) Kirk, and her in-laws Joe Poglajen Sr and Ruth (Grizzle) Poglajen.

She was survived by her children, Pamela Poglajen Lang (Chris), Kathy Poglajen Curl, (Shaun) and Cydny Jo Poglajen. Grandchildren Kelsey Curl, Sam Curl (Caitlin), Josh Lang (Allegra), Jon Lang (Natalie) and Jenna Lang. Great grand children Shaun Curl, Nola Curl and June Curl.

Celebration of Life will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd, Scottsdale AZ, on May 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
