Paul Dong

In loving memory of Paul Dong, born February 28, 1923 in Glendale, Arizona to Lim Yuen and Soledad Burciaga Dong. He peacefully passed away November 10, 2011, surrounded by his family. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 64 years, Joan; his children Becky Bright, Paul C. (Anne) Dong, Margaret Cook, and Susie (Ken) Shipley. He will also be greatly missed by his 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as his sister Eva Leyva. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Fred, Virginia, Theresa and Jim. Paul proudly served his country in WWII in the army and Signal Corp. As a devout Christian, Paul was a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church where he served as treasurer for many years. In later years he was also a member of Bethany Community Church. Paul was a successful business owner for over 30 years and loved serving his community through his grocery store, Paul’s Budget Market. Paul was a hardworking man who always put the needs and wants of his family first. He was a dedicated husband and father. God and family were always the center of his life. Visitation will be held on November 15, 2011 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85257. Funeral Service is scheduled at 11:00AM on November 15, 2011 at Green Acres Chapel of Light, with a Graveside service to follow. www.greenacresmortuary.net
