Peggy Lou Apple

Peggy Lou Apple 82, of Tempe, Arizona passed away of May 19th 2012. Peggy was born July 23, 1929 in Joplin, Missouri. Throughout her life, Peggy was an avid golfer, winning many tournaments in the 1970s and 1980s, including the Papago Women’s Golf Association Championship. She was a long time member of Mesa Country Club. She loved bass fishing, having spent many sunny days on the lakes of Arizona. Above all, Peggy cherished spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Apple. She is survived by her daughter, Jane and Jim Del Re, and two sons, Tom and Sharon Apple, and Paul and Coleen Apple. She has five grandchildren, Melissa Hunter (Rob), Greg Apple, Morgan Ramsey (Patrick), Nicole Gust (Zac) and Jennifer Apple. Lastly, her favorites, great-grandchildren J.D., Luke, Kierra, Kendall, Wyatt and Morgan. Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary at 12:00pm Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
