She was born in Bad Constatt, Germany on February 18, 1955, where her father, Jerry Corley, was serving in the Army. She graduated from Tempe High School and during her junior year, she met her high school sweetheart, Mark Salem. They were married for fifty wonderful years.
Ranae and Mark worked together to build a successful auto repair business, Salem Boys Auto, in Tempe, Arizona, which has been in business for over 45 years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, at their home up north, and dragging Mark all over the country looking for antiques. She was exceptionally artistic and was able to turn junk into beautiful treasures for her beloved store in Pine, Arizona.
Ranae is survived by her husband, Mark; her children, Alan (Heather), Alison, and Andi (Phil); her grandchildren, Alexander, Mark, Rex, Lexi, and Josephine; her mother, Laural; her brother, Gregg (Kelli); and many other family and friends who loved and adored her. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Corley, and her brother, Lonn Corley. Everyone that knew her loved her. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
Please join us to celebrate Ranae’s life on January 24, 2025, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Pera Club, 1 East Continental Drive, Tempe, Arizona 85288.
