Bobby and I are cousins, He was a few years older than me. When we were kids we would play outside at Grandma Lilian’s house. There was this grassy hill we would roll down and see who could get to the bottom faster. He usually Won! We’d laugh and be dirty, and I was probably a sore loser 🤣🤣  the thing I remember most about him as an adult is a night a bunch of us went out to dinner in Aunt Sallys neighborhood. He had the biggest smile and a warm boisterous presence. He was outspoken and would fill the room- it’s a spark I can’t really put into words but it’s fantastic to remember him in that moment.. I wish he and I were closer but now he’s given my dad and I a reminder to keep in touch with family more often.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Bobby’s passing this afternoon from a group of people who cared for him.  I will remember Bob for his smile, his quick wit, and his kindness.  May you be at peace.  You are with your father and Dane now.  Rest in paradise Bob

Bob,

You were one of my dearest friends, and I will miss you forever. Our love and passion for music was always the glue that held us together. We were moved by the same spirit. Your talent was just incredible. You could listen to a song a couple of times, and then play it back on the piano and the guitar. Combine that with your natural charisma, and I can assure you, Bob you were one of a kind my friend. I love you, and I hope you are watching over me. 

Bobby was a great guy and will be missed.  I haven’t seen him in many years but we were friends in high and spent a year together at UofA in Tucson. Bobby was one of the smartest kids in our class and was an amazing guitar player.  He would play song after song with no sheets or instructions and I was always envious of that talent.  I would ask him to play One by Metallica over and over and he would kill it.  So sorry to hear of his passing.  Way too young to leave this world and I’m sure he is resting peacefully in heaven.   Wish I could have been there to celebrate his life today but could not get back to Phoenix in time.   Sending love and prayers to all of his family and friends.  Rest In Peace Bobby ❤️

I’m so sad I can’t be there today, so thought I would share here, what I remember about Bobby… He loved his family and always spoke so highly of them all.  He missed his Dad, there was a joke of his dad’s he always shared, but I can’t think of it now.  He loved music and was talented.. playing guitar and keyboard and without any music sheets.  I loved when he lived with Dane and my son and me and would fill our home on Sunday mornings with music.  He was super smart and quirky and funny.  Finding irony in the simplest of things.  And although majored in economics and numbers, had a way with words.  I loved to try to out wit him, but he always won.  I would cite “Labyrinth” and he would know exactly the scene.  He loved sports, the Cardinals and the Long Horns from his time in Texas.    And he was in a band there too.  He was caring messaging me on Mother’s Day after Dane passed.  He will be terribly missed.  The  world will be a little more quiet and mundane with him gone.  

I am so, so sorry to hear this news.  I have fond memories of Bobby during our years at Cocopah and Chaparral and will always remember his humor, his positive energy, his kindness, and him being a person that myself and others enjoyed being around. I knew Bobby as my son Mike Walters very close friend. They went to school from kindergarten thru high school together and took a trip to Amsterdam together many years ago. I liked Bobby and am saddened by his passing. My deepest sympathy to his family.
