His family came from humble beginnings but achieved great success in the hair industry, with his father, Didy, owning and operating several successful beauty salons in Massachusetts. Mirroring this ambition, Dr. Nocera moved to Arizona to pursue a career as a physician. While attending the University of Arizona, he met his wife, Zandra. After completing his training, Dr. Nocera returned to Arizona to join Valley Radiology, where he became a full partner. Later, he worked alongside his wife at their practices, Arcadia Radiology and Breast Center, in Phoenix and Glendale.
Despite his busy and successful career, he cherished spending summers on the East Coast at his family’s beach house in Cape Cod. Looking to grow their family, he and Zandra adopted three children, who became the highlights of his life. Dr. Nocera was a devoted, loving, and supportive father. He loved to cook and would make delicious dinner for his family every night which would be followed by swimming in the pool together. Every Summer he would take his family on vacation to Hawaii. He ensured his children had a wonderful childhood full of happy memories.
Dr. Nocera was incredibly intelligent and had a relentless thirst for knowledge. Well into his career, he pursued a doctorate in Anti-Aging and Stem Cell Research and Treatment. This passion took him to Panama and Costa Rica, where he advanced this field of medicine. He went on to develop an anti-aging line of skincare and supplements. Dr. Nocera became a world leader in stem cell therapy research and authored the book "Cells That Heal Us From Cradle to Grave: A Quantum Leap in Medical Science." As an expert in his field, he gave lectures to physician colleagues and medical students, sharing his research.
Later in life, Dr. Nocera moved to Miami, FL where he continued practicing Diagnostic Radiology. In Miami, he found joy in playing his piano and admiring his view of the beach. In the final year of his life, he returned to Paradise Valley to live with his family. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones.
