On Friday, December 8, 2023, in Scottsdale, AZ, Rosemae Anderson passed peacefully from this earth. She was surrounded by Christmas, her favorite holiday with family, lights and music. Rosemae was born in East Liverpool, OH on February 22, 1951, and was a lifelong Ohio State fan. She grew up in Western Pennsylvania, Steel Country and was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. One of the highlights of her life was attending a Steelers game at Heinz Field where the Steelers beat the Ravens! She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Rae Anderson, second husband, Larry Anderson (2000), and her first husband, John McLaughlin (1969), along with her parents John and Ella Rebecca (Call) Dhayer, sisters Nancy Burd, Faith Bradley, and Katherine Carter and her brothers David Dhayer and Jeffrey Dhayer. She is survived by her brothers John Dhayer (Diane) Florida, Fred Dhayer (Darlene) Pennsylvania and Rob Dhayer (Estelle) Pennsylvania. A multitude of nieces and nephews that she loved very much in Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Rosemae has three surviving children: Priscilla McLaughlin Sanders (Trent) of Scottsdale, AZ , Lisa McLaughlin Hutcherson Bilbo (Brian) of Palm Beach, FL., and Katrina Lynn Anderson Meloy Salmon of Newport, NC.
Rosemae was very proud of her grandchildren: Nicholas Hutcherson (Flagstaff, AZ), Zachary Storm Meloy (Newport, NC), Laura Jean Meloy (Youngsville, NC), and one great grandchild: Carlie Jo Beale, age 9 of Youngsville, NC. Rosemae had 4 step grandchildren that she loved very much: Maralee Sanders (Steve Indoe) Bound Brook, NJ, Hilary Sanders (Brian Arkin) Mesa, AZ, Zackary Sanders (Nicole Norman) Apache Junction, AZ, and TJ Sanders of Phoenix, AZ. Multiple great grandchildren including: KC Sanders, Eligh Sanders, David Holub, Dean Holub, Kevin Indoe, Brandon Indoe, and Danny Sanders.
Rosemae moved to Arizona in 1984 and spent the next 30 years working in the healthcare field. She loved the ocean and moved to Emerald Isle North Carolina after retirement for several years before returning to Arizona. Rosemae loved crafting, dogs, and thrift store shopping!
She will be cremated at Green Acres Mortuary and her urn will be placed in a niche at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel in Sun City West, AZ. A niche side ceremony will be held for the family on December 29th at 530pm. A celebration of life is planned for this summer in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she loved to spend time with her niece, Lesley Bradley Carroll (Todd).
