

Ruthellen Yadon, the Bingo Queen, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on October 14, 2023. Ruthellen was born on October 26, 1925, in East Alton, Illinois to Helen (Lawrence) and Raymond Behymer. Ruthellen graduated from Webster Groves High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1942.
On September 8, 1951, she married Duane Yadon (deceased) in Webster Groves, Missouri. They purchased Service Plumbing and Heating from Ruthellen’s grandfather in 1956 and had the business until their retirement. Ruthellen was also the secretary for the Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce for many years. They loved to travel and enjoyed many trips all over the world including many Lions Club Conventions; as well as tropical locations and bingo cruises. Ruthellen was an active member and volunteer at Shadow Mountain Village where they lived. She especially loved playing cards, bingo, pancake breakfasts, potlucks and her chocolate!
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane Yadon, and siblings Doris Stinnett, Larry Behymer, and Jean Behymer, as well as her “outlaw” and special friend, Beverly Binkowski.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Yadon, of Webster Groves, Missouri, and her son, Tobey Yadon of Fort Collins, Colorado and his wife, Susan (Binkowski) Yadon, and their son, Tyler Yadon (Fort Collins, CO) and his wife Katie, and their daughter, Charlotte Yadon.
A celebration of life for our “Energizer Bunny” will be held at Pima Hall, Shadow Mountain Village, Scottsdale on October 26 at 11 am. Internment will be at Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lions Clubs International.
