Sean was born in Tucson, AZ and passed away July 19, 2026 in Peoria, AZ at the age of 44 years.
Sean graduated from Amphitheater High School in Tucson and Northern Arizona University with a Criminal Justice degree. Sean worked for a number of companies dealing with insurance and securities. He also worked for the Conservation Corps clearing timber and fallen trees, and for Outward Bound in Utah. Sean will be long remembered for his high intelligence, his dry wit, and his warm personality. He had a love for technology and all sports, including the Diamondbacks, the Cardinals, UofA and NAU. Sean loved all animals, but had special affection for his rescue dogs Emma and Jane.
Sean is survived by his mother Pennie DeHoff; sister Errin Mendibles; step-father Larry Wurst; brother-in-law Nicholas Mendibles; nephew Nicolas Mendibles and niece Isabella Mendibles; step-mother Dr. Betsy Gilpin; Gary, Linda, Kit DeHoff; Ken, Tanja DeHoff; cousins Rob, Mike and Becki; the Moran family; and Lily Paddock-Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, US, on August 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
