

Shirley was born in San Angelo, Texas to Bobbie Fagan and James Alexander Isbell. She passed peacefully in Chandler, Arizona. She spent the majority of her youth in San Angelo, Texas then moved to Arkansas City, Kansas in her teen years, where she met the love of her life, Robert Lew Beck. Married on May 17, 1953, they enjoyed 48 years of a very happy marriage and were blessed with two sons, Jerry Randall Beck Sr. and Robert Lindell Beck. When their sons were young, they moved their family to Tempe, Arizona in 1965, enjoying the warmth and beauty of the southwest. Her passions and talents were in her work as a law librarian, painting artistry and Southwest Indian collectables. Shirley was a talented artist, signing her painting and craft work as “Shirbe”. Shirley's greatest joy was her family and was never happier than when the family gathered. In addition to her son Jerry Randall, she is survived by daughter-in-law Evelyn, 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and her youngest son, Lindy in 2011. She was also survived by numerous adoring nieces and nephews. We will remember Shirley in many ways but, most especially, for her fun loving nature and her spirit of pure sunshine. Family services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, where Shirley will join her husband and son in peaceful eternal rest, on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at 10:00 am.
