Spencer had a deep love for sports and could always be found cheering on his favorite teams or enjoying a game with family and friends. More than anything, he treasured time spent with those he loved. Whether gathered around for holidays, watching a game, or sharing everyday moments, Spencer understood that family was life’s greatest blessing.
He had a gift for humor and was known for cracking jokes that could lighten any room. His quick wit and playful spirit brought smiles to countless faces. Spencer truly saw the best in everyone he met. He had a generous heart and a natural ability to make others feel valued and appreciated. Through his example, he taught those around him to find joy in the simple things — a laugh shared, a game played, a quiet moment with family.
One of Spencer’s greatest joys was being an uncle to his beloved nephew, Boone. He embraced that role with pride and love, creating memories filled with laughter, fun, and unconditional support.
Spencer is survived by his loving mother, Cheri Short; his father, Terry Short; his sister, Destiny Neidhardt; his brother-in-law, Dakota Neidhardt; and his cherished nephew, Boone Neidhardt. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Lucas Short (February 7, 1983 – May 19, 1984).
Though his time with us was far too short, Spencer’s legacy of kindness, humor, and wholehearted love will continue to live on in all who knew him. His life was a reminder to see the good in others, to laugh often, and to treasure every moment.
