Stephanie J. Ferguson

Stephanie Joann Ferguson, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7th, 2022. Stephanie was born in Chicago, Illinois January 26th, 1926 and moved to New York as a young child. Growing up in Brooklyn, Stephanie loved music and pursued a music career making and recording. In 1948 Stephanie married William Lyle and raised four children on Long Island.

Later Stephanie moved to Arizona where she met and married William Ferguson and had a successful career in jewelry sales at Weisfields Jewelry and a management position with Gold Art. Long time residents of Scottsdale, Stephanie and Bill owned and operated "Bill's Fix It" and a printing business. "Stevie" was also an accomplished seamstress, designing and sewing her own ensembles. Stephanie loved to entertain friends and family, was involved with community theatre and loved to travel.

Preceding her in death, she had a grandson Joel Woodard. Stephanie is survived by her daughter Janice Woodard (Alan Weast), son Jeffrey Lyle, daughter Judith Gould (Randall), son Peter, stepsons William Ferguson Jr. (Susan) and Randy Ferguson, stepdaughter Janice Villott (Michael), grandchildren Coleene Piatrouski (Robert), Jason Lyle, Rick Dyson, Sean Dyson (Holly), Tanner Gould (Penny), Zachary Gould, Skyler Lyle, Chance Lyle, Devin Lyle, Mishell Peterson (Dan), Nikki Pritchett (Joel) and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family.

Mother, grandmother Stephie and Gi-Gi will be missed as the matriarch of our family, always stylish, wearing her variety of interesting hats.

In honor of Stephanie, A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 10:00 - 12:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Green Acres Mortuary (401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257) and a funeral mass on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (7655 E. Main St., Scottsdale, AZ 85251).
