Terry Nora Massaro

Terry Nora Massaro, 96, of Chandler passed away October 21, 2017, in Scottsdale, Arizona. A private family service will be held on November 13, 2017. Green Acres Mortuary is handling the funeral arrangements. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Terry was born in East Haven, CT, to Fred and Raffie Stanio on March 30, 1921. Terry is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Raffie; three brothers Fred, Donald, and Arnold Stanio; husband Marcel Massaro; son Marc Massaro and grandson Martin Massaro. Terry is survived by her sister Phyllis (Bob) Phillips; brothers Raymond (Sylvia) and Sal Stanio; daughter Roberta (Keith) Thurston and son John (Gail) Massaro; grandchildren Shaun (Amber) and Todd Thurston, Nicole (Chris) Hayes and Victor Massaro; and great-grandsons Bennett and Harrison Thurston and Andrew Hayes. Terry was an artistic woman, an enthusiastic gardener, a world traveler, and an avid bingo player, but she loved her family the most. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Phoenix Children's Hospital. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Scottsdale Village Square for their support in her final days.
