Venia E. Brooks 91, of Tempe, Arizona passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at 6:30am at home with relatives. She was born August 20, 1926 in Flora, Mississippi. She was a devote member of The Church on Mill, First Southern Baptist Church of Tempe. Venia married Clary P. Brooks on October 5th, 1945. Clary preceded her in death on March 10, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Brooks, in 2013. Venia is survived by her sister, Gene Conner of Mississippi; children, Clary and Bobbie Brooks of California, Betty and Keith Reed, Michigan, Sally Amick, Harold Brooks of Arizona, Carl and Ann Brooks of Florida; and Sarah Brooks o Arizona; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services in Venia's honor, will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Green Acres Chapel of Light (401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257), visitation at 5:00pm, funeral service at 6:00pm. The graveside service will be at Green Acres Cemetery Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 9:00am.
