Virginia was a waitress for Central Drive-In, Jack’s, Smitty’s, and more for over fifty years. On May 30, 1997 the Arizona Republic published an article about her, then, 50 years of service as a waitress (Octogenarian Waitress, Quick with the Quips). She enjoyed time at the casino playing black jack, cooking and feeding those around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary E. Nelson and James William Nelson, her husband, Camden Ralph Rader. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn S. Harness, Her grandchildren, Dean Burns, Cindy Burns & John Rader Hardwick, six grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. As well as many devoted and loving friends.
