

At the age of two, her family moved to Phoenix, where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Tempe High School, where she was a majorette. She married her high school sweetheart, Earl Corbin in 1954 and together they raised two children in Phoenix. After Earl’s death in 1993 (39 years of marriage), she then married Rex Hornbaker and enjoyed 17 years of marriage before his passing.
Her optimism, high energy, outgoing personality, beautiful appearance, love for family, and large number of friends were her trademarks. She was a natural at making everything fun and special. As a daughter, sister, wife, sister-in-law, mother, bible school teacher, cub scout leader, band mom, ASU fan, Disney enthusiast and dedicated employee, she was all-in and gave 100% of herself.
Along with her busy home life, she enjoyed a successful career as a beautician, trainer at Motorola and customer service representative for America West Airlines.
She is survived by her two sisters Leigh Conner and Judy Seida, two children and spouses Matt Corbin (Laura Corbin) and Daphren Schwertley (Mike Schwertly), five grandchildren Katelyn Boyd, Kallie Corbin, Drew Corbin, Madison Schwertley and Corbin Schwertley, two great grandchildren Shelby Boyd and Charlie Boyd.
A memorial will held on May 28, 2016 and she will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Jeannie’s name can be sent to Hospice of the Valley www.Hov.org
