

Adrian Apollo Cowens of Seattle, Washington passed on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. He was born on August 16, 1976 to Avondale Cowens. He was blessed to have David Cowens and Robin as his loving parents and Legal Custodians and Dr. Annie M. Scott as his grandmother.
Adrian Cowens is a product of Ann Arbor and Grand Blanc, MI public schools and attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Along the way, Adrian earned the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America (BSA) in Troop 31 that celebrated 100 years of service recently in Flint, Michigan. Adrian’s commitment to scouting resulted in his founding of BSA Troop/Pack 008 Rainier Beach Community Center. He touched the lives of many young scouts, involving them in hiking, camping, skiing, volunteering, leadership development and other experiences that exposed them to new adventures.
Adrian’s love for telecommunications began with training he received from the United States Army in 1995. He later operated in management and other positions at Clearwire, Ericcson and Comtech in Las Vegas, NV and Seattle, WA areas.
Adrian was a charismatic leader involved with community service where he served as the Captain of the Seattle Kettlebell Club Competition. He also was a member of the Seattle Lions Club and the National Eagle Scout Association. He was honored to receive an Award of Merit from the Chief Seattle Council District for rendering noteworthy service to youth of an outstanding nature.
He is survived by parents David Cowens and Robin V. Scott, their daughter Victoria Cowens of Pittsford, NY, his birth mother Avondale Cowens of Ann Arbor, MI, one brother Keith Mallett Jr. of Detroit, MI, four aunts Grace Cowens of Battle Creek, MI, Josie Griffin of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Phillips of Kingsville, TX, Gina M. Scott of Portsmouth, VA, grandmother Dr. Annie M. Scott of Jacksonville, FL and one Great-Aunt Nellie Harris of Wilkesboro, NC. Adrian also has a host of cousins. Adrian was preceded in death by his grandparents Lourie Romania and Wardell Cowens as well as three aunts Cynthia, Frances and Merida Cowens.
